Website maintenance servicesWebsite maintenancefor small businesses.

I keep your website online, up to date and accurate for $100 a month. You email me what needs to change, I make the change, and once a month you get a short report.

What $100 a month covers

  • Hosting
  • Software updates and security checks
  • Uptime monitoring: if your site goes down, I get the alert and fix it
  • 30 minutes of small content updates every month, Monday to Friday
  • A reply within one business day
  • A monthly report: visits, inquiries, and what I fixed or changed
  • Versioned code, so any change I make can be rolled back

What it looks like in practice

I look after Sazón de Mi Cuba, my sister's kitchen in Lakeland. The site changes all the time, based on what she asks for. She edits the menu, prices and photos herself, and sends me everything she'd rather not do.

That's the idea behind care: you keep running the business, and the website keeps up with it.

Already have a website?

Start with the Website & SEO review ($200). I check what the site has, what it's missing and what it would take to look after it.

Usually I move it to my setup, so every part of care works the same way. If you'd rather stay where you are, I can look after Wix and Squarespace sites as they are, for the same $100 a month. Those platforms handle hosting and software updates themselves. WordPress care is quoted after the review, because plugins and updates are where WordPress sites tend to break, and the work depends on the site.

What care doesn't cover

The 30 minutes reset every month and don't roll over. Bigger changes, like a new page or a new feature, are quoted before I start, so nothing shows up on an invoice by surprise.

If you paid for the build upfront, you can cancel care with 30 days' notice.

Questions

What is website maintenance?

The ongoing work that keeps a website online, secure and accurate: hosting, software updates, security checks, fixing what breaks, and changing the content when your hours, prices or services change.

What happens if my site goes down?

I get an alert from the uptime monitor and fix it. You don't have to notice it first.

Can I still change things myself?

Yes. Every site I build has an editor for your text and photos. Care is for everything you'd rather hand over.

Do I need maintenance on Wix or Squarespace?

Less than on WordPress, since those platforms handle hosting and software updates. You still need someone to keep the content accurate and check the site works, which is what care covers there.
